IPT LLC (Scofflaw Field Agent)

PayLock IPT LLC is in expanding its product lines and service packages. We need your help and, more importantly, your passion and drive for results!  Our proprietary product is a self-release, vehicle booting service program supported by a 24-7 Help Center. We are looking for a Parking Enforcement Officer that will be responsible for identifying and booting scofflaw vehicles.  You must have excellent communication skills, be able to work both autonomously and as a team member and remain insurable under our company auto insurance.  You must thrive in a learning environment and be open to constant collaboration. What is Self-Release Booting?  It is a way for individuals to pay unpaid parking fines and remove boots placed on their cars. This allows them to get back on the road more quickly with less hassle.

What exactly are we looking for? We are looking for a Full-Time Scofflaw Field Agent in the Nassau County area who will have the following essential responsibilities:

  • Responsible for safe driving of company vehicle through deployed routes.
  • Perform visual inspection of all equipment and record all results.
  • Upon identification of approved scofflaw vehicles, complete and apply seizure notices to vehicles and affix SmartBoot to front curbside tire.
  • Communicate promptly any problems or issues that affect productivity in any way.
  • Find solutions or deal with any problems that help alleviate downtime and maintain productivity as much as possible.
  • Responsible for the safe handling of all equipment.
  • Use in-vehicle computer to visually confirm license plate matches, enter activity data in the BootView system, write reports, and send and receive e-mails.
  • Provides updates with PayLock Help/Dispatch Center throughout the day.
  • Provide assisted release of vehicles and towing support as needed.
  • Perform other basic vehicle maintenance as needed.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

This position requires a high school diploma or completion of a GED-equivalent program or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidate must be a Nassau County, NY  or New York City resident.

 

Communication Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Possess the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Has the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Possess the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Possess the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Computer Skills:

Ability to use a computer using basic computer skills, such as typing, general knowledge of Microsoft operating system, word processing, data entry.

 

Driving Skills:

Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle.

 

Equipment:

Ability to communicate using electronic devices such as Nextel phones, cellular phones, fax machine, etc.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to maintain a valid, current state-issued driver’s license at all times AND must be insurable under IPT LLC’s fleet auto insurance policy and authorized by our insurance carrier to drive an IPT LLC company vehicle.

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently in an outdoor environment and will occasionally be exposed to outdoor weather conditions when traveling.  The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes and airborne particles, and extreme heat.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to drive between 0-50 miles and may frequently drive between 51-100 miles.

In addition, the employee is frequently required to talk, hear, move and sit.  The employee frequently required to operate a computer and mouse.  The employee is constantly required to walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.  The employee will frequently lift and/or move up to 16 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

 

COMPENSATION

  • $16+ per hour with potential to earn up to $18+ after 3 months/over-time eligible
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package
  • Full time position – 40 hrs or more

Additional Qualifications & Requirements Include, But Are Not Limited To:

  • A Nassau County, NY or NYC resident
  • A clean and valid NY State drivers’ license
  • General computer knowledge and networking skills with some experience in Excel and Word. Fast typing skills a plus.
  • Great communication and writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and with others; to handle detailed work with a high degree of accuracy and speed, great problem solving skills
  • An insatiable curiosity and ability to learn (and teach), and an innate commitment to getting things done-or, more precisely, an innate need to not let things go undone.
  • A sense of humor doesn’t hurt, either.
  • Must pass a Background check and drug test
  • Must be willing to travel to NJ for interview or as needed as we are a NJ-based company
